RIM to launch the BlackBerry Torch in India tomorrow (Update: Launched)

13 Oct

Research In Motion is launching the BlackBerry Torch in India tomorrow. While there is no official word from the company about its pricing, our sources tell us that it would be priced at approximately Rs 35,000. The Torch is RIM’s effort to stop its users from jumping ship and embracing the iPhone or Android smartphones. It runs on the latest BlackBerry 6.0 OS that supports multi-touch, a new Internet browser and embraces a deeper integration with online social networks.

Update: Just as we reported yesterday, RIM has launched the BlackBerry Torch in India for Rs 35,000.
