Garmin Asus to launch Android-powered Nuvifone A10 in India this month

1 Oct

Garmin Asus is planning to launch its first Android smartphone, the Nuvifone A10, in India this month. Announced at MWC earlier this year, the A10 will run on Android 2.1 and like its Windows Mobile siblings, will come pre-loaded with navigation software and maps for India. It has a 3.2-inch HVGA display, 4 GB of internal flash memory, a 5.0 MP camera and runs on Qualcomm’s 7227 processor clocked at 600 MHz.

The Nuvifone A10 is expected to be priced in the range of Rs 20,000-Rs 22,000. Garmin Asus hopes that consumers will be willing to pay a premium for its navigation service but considering that smartphones with similar specs are available under Rs 15,000, we are not very sure about it. Nevertheless, we will reserve our verdict till we get our paws on it.
