Karbonn Mobile launches K25 QWERTY phone in India for Rs 4,400

25 Jul

Karbonn K25 launched in IndiaKarbonn Mobile, yet another homegrown handset brand, has launched another QWERTY phone in India. The K25, like all other ‘made for India’ phones, is a Dual-SIM phone that comes pre-installed with Opera Mini and other apps for mobile access to social networks like Facebook and Twitter. Other features include a 2.0 MP camera, FM radio, a microSD card slot (expandable up to 8 GB), flashlight and Bluetooth A2DP.

It has all the hygienic features that one would expect from brands like Karbonn Mobile and brings nothing new to the table. However, a price tag of Rs 4,400 leaves little space for complaining. With a couple of dozen QWERTY keyboard Dual-SIM phones available at under Rs 5,000 in India today, handset vendors really need to bring something new and innovative to the mix.

These are basic MTK platform phones. Pretty basic, nothing extraordinary. But stable.
