Motorola Droid 2 shows up again, this time in a catalogue

14 Jul

Motorola Droid 2 on Verizon WirelessMotorola might not be ready to take the covers off its upcoming Droid 2 (Milestone 2 for us) but Verizon Wireless, the exclusive carrier in the US for the Droid range of phones, seems a bit impatient. BGR has received the carrier’s summer catalogue that features the Droid 2 in all its glory. Yeah, we have known about this sequel to the first generation Droid but some info coming directly from Verizon does help.

So what we are looking at is basically the Milestone in a new chasis and with 8 GB of internal memory, a 1 GHz processor, 512 MB RAM and with an ability to act as a Wi-Fi hotspot. We have a hunch that Motorola might just take a little more time and launch it with Android 2.2 aka Froyo in tow. Now that would be nice, wouldn’t it?

Why do we need so many different variants?
