Nokia has launched two phones in its X-Series, the X5-01 and the X6 8GB at the Nokia Connection event in Singapore. The Nokia X5-01 has a slider from factor with a portrait QWERTY keypad giving it a squarish design. The device has an IM client and offers easy access to popular SNS such as Facebook, Twitter, MySpace and Hi5. It also has a 5.0 MP snapper with 4X digital zoom and LED flash. A unique feature in the phone lets you know the number of unread messages in your inbox when you shake the device. There is 200 MB of onboard storage which can be upgraded to 32GB with a microSD card (a 2GB microSD will come bundled with it). Connectivity features include – Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPRS and a 3.5 mm audio jack. The Nokia X5-01 will also include Nokia’s Comes with Music service in some regions. For now the phone is destined for a launch in Indonesia in Q3 this year and should sell for 165 Euros before taxes and subsidies.

The Nokia X6 8GB is the latest version to the Nokia X6 16GB and the Nokia X6 32GB. The new device looks exactly like its previous versions and there is no new feature either except for the fact that the memory has been downgraded to 8GB. The device will come in three colours – Azure, Black, Amethyst. The shipping process will begin in Q3 and the phone is expected to sell at an estimated price of 225 Euros before taxes and subsidies.
