India’s 3G auction: Day 28 update

The bids from the auction of nation-wide 3G licence crossed Rs 14,466 crore on the 28th day. Mumbai recorded the highest bid value of Rs 2,661.85 crore with national capital following the second spot with biding value of Rs 2,612.42 crore on the 28th day of the auction. Karnataka and Tamil Nadu occupied the third and the fourth spots with bid values of Rs 1,503.25 crore and Rs 1,393.87 crore.

Yesterday there was no extra demand for Mumbai but today the circle had two extra bidders. Other circles in the list of surplus demand zone were – Delhi, Karnataka, Kolkata, Uttar Pradesh (East), Orissa and North East. Yet again, there were nine circles to witness shortage of demand by one or two bidders on the 27th day of the auction.
