India’s 3G auction: Day 15 update

The bids for the pan-India 3G spectrum crossed Rs 8,662 crore after the end of the 15th day of auction. The capital continued to be the most expensive circle in 11 out of 13 days of bidding (lost twice when Gujarat surpassed Delhi) and on the 14th day lost its position to Mumbai with bidding value of Rs 1,252.3 crore. Even on the 15th day, Delhi could not take back its position and Mumbai topped once again with a bid value of Rs 1,329.34 crore. The national capital stood at the second spot with the bid value closing at Rs 1284.04 crore followed by Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu with bidding values of  Rs 848.72 crore and Rs 792.75 crore respectively.
