India's 3G spectrum auction Day Three update

After a break on Sunday, the bidding for 3G spectrum in India started on a high note with bids reaching 5.85 per cent higher than Saturday and 24 per cent higher than the base price of Rs 3,500 crore. With six rounds completed today, the provisional all India license bid has reached Rs 4,324 crore. Delhi remains to be the most expensive circle at Rs 416.43 crore with Gujarat springing up as a close second at 416.42 crore. Surprisingly, Uttar Pradesh (East) has the most number of excessive bidders with six carriers in the fray for three slots available. You can find details of the bids here.
