14 Jan

Samsung has announced its new Shark range of phones which features three devices – S5350, S5550 and S3530. The range will hit the markets this month.

Building upon its Corby series of phones, the Shark series will offer similar social networking features without a touchscreen display.

The Shark S5350 has sleek curves, metallic finish and asymmetric design. The curved form provides a better grip in a 11.9 mm thin profile. This device has a 3.2MP camera and also has an instant messaging app for popular IM clients.

The Shark 2 (S5550) has a slider form factor with a metallic surface and Kevlar finish. The device features a 5.0 MP camera with auto focus, an AMOLED display and also offers IM. The Shark 2 comes with an inbuilt memory of 110MB internal memory, expandable up to 8 GB with a microSD card.

The Shark 3 (S3550) is also a slider device with a patterned metallic back cover. The UI features one additional soft key added in the bottom center for easy navigation. Like the former two, the Shark 3 also offers IM and is equipped with a 2.0 MP camera. The inbuilt memory of 40MB is expandable up to 8GB with a microSD card.
