Motorola E11 supports Dual-SIM: Bluetooth SIG

4 Oct

Leave it to the folks at Bluetooth SIG to blow the lid off any phone that a vendor is trying hard to keep hidden. The latest in the lot is the Motorola E11, which looks like an upgraded version of the Rokr E6 that was introduced sometime last year.

Bluetooth SIG sayeth the E11 will be available only in Asia and has a 2.8 inch QVGA touchscreen, Dual-SIM card slots with dual-standby and a 3.0 MP shooter. While Motorola’s co-CEO might be trying to convice us that Android is the way to go, he ain’t letting go of feature phones that account for a big chunk of any handset vendor’s volumes, especially in Asian markets.

If you ask us, this one seems like just another Linux Java phone that would compete with the Samsung Corby and the likes.

We are still waiting for any news for Moto’s Android phones washing up on Asian shores. Any tips, guys?
